hey...
its been eons since i blogged and i am happy to have got finally something to say..er i mean write about :-)
lots has happened in all this time and lots of it has not been too good..actually most of it hasnt been very good...from no real work to an overdose of work(read that as 14 hrs of work straight for two weeks) and from my personal life going completely to pieces, here i am smiling everyday...
but well what i am here to write about is something else..
yesterday i finsihed work at 7.30 PM and since the next cab home was only at 9 PM i decided to take the train from office to my area and was accopanied by a friend..so we boarded the train at SPK station(thats SingaPerumal Koil) and found two places near the window..So there's this uncle sitting right opposite me happily mumching away ornages, then peanuts n so on n so forth..and every peice of trash goes plonk!!out of the window...i was kinda getting agitated given my zero tolerance to littering...My friend (whose welll aware of this) saw me and asked me to breathe, relax n not lose it!!and not to say a word too because it could get ugly:very ugly!!I meekly nodded and tried to immerse myself in idle chit chat.
There were also a guy n girl sitting opposite munching chana ..u know the ones u get in lilttle paper cones for 2 rs..so the guy finisihes his n plonk!!out goes the lil piece of paper past my face.n then the girl finishes hers too n passes the paper to the guy to let it go sailing out of the train when something snapped inside my head!!and I put out a hand and say "Please, can you not do that?!!!" I mean even as i was saying it i could hear myself thinking, "god aravinda what the hell are you doing:i mean you cant really be doing this can you!!The expression on the girl's face was total confusion , the guy as if he couldn't believe what he was hearing ..when i heard my self say again" Please dont throw it out of the window." Shit!!! I had so totally lost it...
Ha ha...So then this girl goes "Um, yea okie, okie..yea, yea okie okie yea"!! she was so so totally pissed, embarrased u name it n the guy couldn't understand whether to get mad at me or slink away in shame. Thats when my friend(Vasanth) who in all his concern that i was gonna be shot dead the very next second grabbed his own bag and offered it to the girl saying "Please throw it in this, its anyways full of garbage !!" Hee hee..can u beat that !!
Obviously the girl refused...and then the two were subdued for the whole journey.
So finally normaly returned though i kept wondering if i actually had done something like that!!
Vas told me later that he would never have done anything of the sort had to give it to me...
But when the time came to get off the train, i walked out smiling, amused and happy that at least i had given those two people something to think about. Maybe they threw the piece of paer outta the window the very moment i alighted and were abusing me...
I dont care about them..what i care about is no littering. And i am glad i found the courage in me to say so.
